Imagine a wind tunnel that could be used for testing the aerodynamics of an F1 racing car, turn it upright, step into the airflow and you’re bodyflying! It’s a proven concept operating in several countries to the benefit of the skydiving community and anyone else who wishes to taste the thrill of freefall in a completely safe environment. Now you can experience the joy of human flight by easing yourself onto a 120mph air stream.
What happens on the day
On arrival you’ll be required to sign a statement of risk confirming that you’re in a reasonable state of health and fitness (Participants under the age of 18 will require a parent’s or guardian’s signature). Then you’ll meet the instructors who’ll run through all the fundamental training required before you can fly – this session is good fun! Instructors will then help you to ‘kit-up’ in a flight suit, helmet and goggles - then it’s on to the wind tunnel where you’ll experience your flights. After your flights, you’ll be presented with a DVD of your flight as well as a flight certificate signed by the instructor.

Tank driving would be most people’s idea of fun, but imagine the thrill of actually taking part in a tank battle - not with live ammunition, but with paint!!
Take it in turns as part of a three-man crew to negotiate a tricky tank course set in a world war II bombing range. Your tank of choice will be a unique 17 tonne FV432 armoured personnel carrier, with specially modified cannons capable of firing 40mm paint rounds. Under the guidance of your on-board instructor you will get the opportunity to drive the tank, aim the cannon, load the breach and fire the air powered cannon. To get you into your role as an artillery man (or woman!) you will be issued with radio headsets, kevlar helmets, tank suits and gloves. Once you are able to successfully operate the tank, the hatches are closed and you are free to engage in full on armoured warfare against an opposing team using only your periscopes to guide you! Aim and fire!

Forget everything your driving instructor ever taught you. Rally driving is all about slamming the steering wheel, heaving the handbrake and taking those corners at a skid. For fast and furious excitement, it’s hard to beat. You’ll be amazed by the techniques used in rallying - the car seems to be permanently skidding, but actually it’s under control (more or less!).
You’ll start your day with an introductory briefing from your instructor and then it’s time to get behind the wheel for some practice sessions - you’ll learn techniques such as hand brake turns and controlled opposite lock slides. Re-charge your batteries with a full lunch and then it’s back to the rally car for more driving and your big chance to put your new found skills into practice! Many of our courses have loose surface stages - which means much more sliding, and much more fun! What’s more, we only use the best rally schools which have the latest equipment (such as headphones in your helmet, so you can clearly hear what’s going on). The cars you will drive will vary according to the location.
